Faith at Home

As a children’s minister, I am often surprised at how few parents spend deliberate time teaching their kids about God and talking about faith at home. It is not for lack of care. Instead, I suspect that parents don’t place emphasis here since they don’t know what to do. So, it’s my mission to equip parents to raise their children in faith.

This is perfect! Just today during the baptisms, I was quietly explaining what was going on to my daughter.

Thank you for this simple yet poignant blog entry. I shared it with my children, we played follow the leader and followed up with a discussion about following God, our father and listening to the voice within that is trying to tell us to do the right thing (God’s voice). My older son is already stopping and thinking before he says or does something hurtful to his younger brother and although we have only begun to use the follow the leader analogy it is looking promising so …my family has grown from my reading this blog. Thank you.

Great website! Just used it to teach an at-home Easter lesson to my children since we were unable to attend church. Will definitely use this as a resource to teach them about Christ.
